Residential and commercial plumbing in Omaha

For your home

Repairs, leaks, water heaters, drains, sump pumps, water treatment and remodels, for houses old and new across the metro. When your house has plumbing issues, a licensed plumber finds the cause first, and you get a free estimate before any work.

Commercial and industrial

Micro Plumbing is the Omaha commercial plumbing company for office buildings, restaurants, retail spaces, apartments, industrial plants and manufacturing facilities. Our experts bring plumbing solutions that keep your doors open: service calls, tenant build-outs, backflow testing, commercial water heaters, sewer scope inspections and new construction, from multi-million-dollar projects to one leaking fixture.

Same family, same phone number, since 1996.

Mike and Rhoda Miller opened Micro Plumbing on April 1, 1996, to do plumbing to a higher standard. 30 years later it is still family owned and still on J Street, and some customers have called the same number for 15 years and more.

That is the whole idea behind the name. No job is too small to do right, and no job is too big for a crew that has been doing this for three decades.

The Micro Plumbing story

Plumbing emergency

The first five minutes

What you do before a plumber arrives decides how much water damage you end up with. Do these four things, in this order.

  1. 1

Shut off the main water valve

It is usually where the water line comes into the house, often on a basement wall near the water meter. Turn it clockwise until it stops. If it is a lever, turn it so it crosses the pipe.

  2. 2

    Turn off the water heater

For gas, turn the gas control to Pilot or Off. For electric, switch off its breaker. A heater with no water coming in should not keep heating.

  3. 3

    Drain what is left

Open a faucet on the lowest floor, or an outside spigot, so the water still in the pipes runs out there instead of through the leak.

  4. 4

    Call the shop

Call (402) 895-1212. Tell us what happened and what you shut off, and take a few photos for your insurance.

  • Another great job by the Micro Plumbing team! Diagnosed the faucet blockage, immediately reached out to their distributor, had the product in hand in 48 hours and installed that afternoon! Have used Mike and his team for many years for many projects and am always impressed by their timeliness, professionalism and skill. Great to have craftsmen you can rely on for such important work. Thanks guys! Once again, the Micro Plumbing team delivers! Called in a problematic faucet leak at 7:45 am, had a technician at the door by noon, and fully repaired perfectly and gone by 12;45 pm. Couldn't have asked for more...did some great recommended preventative repair as well, so this won't happen with the other faucet! Thanks, Guys!

  • When you dream about the perfect experience you want with a subcontractor, this is where you get it. At long last, a business owner (and his employees) that pride themselves not just in their work but their customer's experience, too. We have a 1931 home and had mainline work under our foundation, floor drains added, several stacks redone, drain vent addition, old drain vent removal, full gut kitchen remodel rough in and finishing work done over the course of four months and a half months. It was a stressful time and these guys helped tremendously in getting work done ON TIME, DONE WELL, and with competitive pricing. From the time they came out to bid the projects to the final day, five star service and work. Have never had such a good experience with any contractor. Mike (owner), Pat (estimator), Josh and Matt (field guys) all were an absolute DREAM to work with and their craftsmanship was spectacular, too. Always kind and polite (to us, my kids and our pets haha) and always cleaned up after themselves after a days work, too. I cannot recommend them enough. Hire them. **Included some photos of the finishing plumbing touches 😍
